Roserock Chardonnay brings together the estate’s three Chardonnay blocks, which are handpicked and sorted. The Chardonnay is pressed immediately and sent in equal parts to tank and barrel. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, Véronique assembles the two portions into her final cuvée. A gorgeous Chardonnay from Domaine Drouhin Oregon's Roserock site, purchased in 2013. Already well established in the Dundee Hills, the Drouhins noticed the powerful, dark-fruited Pinots and exceptional Chardonnays coming out of the Eola-Amity Hills, a now-star-studded Willamette Valley subregion near Salem that is directly affected by cool winds from the Pacific Ocean. With its volcanic soils, cooler temperatures and high elevations, this area is catnip for winemakers. Roserock Chardonnay has made the Wine Spectator Top 100 list twice, ridiculously balanced and shockingly complex.
