The 2022 Matthiasson 'Matthiasson Vineyard' Schioppettino is a unique, light-bodied red wine from Napa Valley, California, made from the obscure Italian grape Schioppettino. The wine has a low 11-12.5% ABV, a fresh, aromatic profile of red berries, violets, white and black pepper, and earthy notes, with bright acidity and a stony minerality. It is produced from only two rows of vines at the Matthiasson home vineyard, which is CCOF certified organic, and is aged in neutral barrels.
