20% Fernão Pires, 80% Siria Winemaker Andre is a fifth-generation winemaker, and Quinta do Montalto, a 15-hectare vineyard made up mostly of clay and chalk soils, has been certified organic since 1997. He combines modern and ancient techniques, such as Portuguese Amphorae, to create unique and expressive wines. This is a beautifully textured and expressive orange wine with a pale gold colour. The palate is fresh and nutty with a hint of spice and flavours of tangerine, marmalade and pure citrus fruits. Structurally, it is juicy and linear, with a nice saline finish.
